Does The Rear Window In The Toyota Sequoia Roll Down

My 2001 Sequoia rear hatch window no longer rolls down nor does the rear hatch open at all.

Does the rear window in the toyota sequoia roll down. I finally got around to researching a fix and found this TSB along with forum posts indicating that there may be nothing wrong with the window motor that just removing a couple of parts and a spring item 14 would fix the problem. After disasembling the rear hatch trim I found that the rails the window rolls up and down on were so serverly rusted that the window could not move at all. Both the Tundra and 4Runner. The dealer said the back window didnt.

The problem occurred again at about 32k miles. Is there a fuse for this window or will I have to replace the motor. 2008 and later Toyota Sequoias have a rear hatchback door window that rolls down into the door. The rear window on my 2007 toyota sequoia does not roll down.

Later in the day when we tried to roll the rear window down with the interior switch but it wouldnt roll down. The dash rear window switch will override the window as it is go read more. Someone good with electronics should be able to add a weather-resistant switch for the window beside the taglight. I had the same problem but it turned out to be the safety switch that is in the drivers side gate latch.

The rear window defroster wiper problem has occurred on the 2001 thru. 4 years old and there was rust flakes chunks adn complete rusted through holes on the rails. We tried with the key in the tailgate and it still didnt budge. The wipers and rear defrost quit working but I reset the ECU and then the wipers and defrost did start operating but the window does not roll down.

Its a cool feature that is shared with the 4Runner but the Sequoias seem to be more prone to issues with the window sticking down or falling into the door. Not even a panoramic. Mine is the 2007 Limited model. To get to it you must roll down the window. In my pilot when I open the windows and sunroof the dog hair can get blown everywhere.

Controlled by a rocker switch by the drivers left knee the power-operated rear window drops down for the best open-air driving experience available in a modern pickup. 04 toyota sequoia in humid weather the rear window will spontaneously roll down. I think this problem is very common on the Toyota Sequoia 2001-2007. I did this by disconnecting the motor and attaching a cordless drill battery to the ternminals at the harness. One thing I REALLY miss about my old Expedition is the ability to open and close the rear window without a key remote or button on the dash. Nothing prompt this all.

Every time I roll the back window down the passenger side drops down lower than the other side and wont go back up unless I go back and pull it up popping it back in. Or just my shitty luck. We recently rolled our Toyota Sequoia 2nd Gen 2013 Limited rear window down using the interior switch and we rolled it back up using the exterior key on the tailgate. Toyota should really have but an UPDOWN button on the rear of the door. The wifes Sequoia rear window would not roll down but I could hear the motor trying to work. The door locks will also cycle while this is occuring.
